Biography
Combining elements of Classic Country, Rock, Blues and Americana, Sevastopol plays familiar cover tunes and original Compositions. The group members are Steve Smith - guitar/vocals, Paul Sendry -guitars, Tom Schwerm – drums/vocals and Jill Guse –Keyboard/vocals.
Sevastopol’s musical influences include Johnny Cash, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Son Volt. Their repertoire features original material as well as classic numbers by artists ranging from Chris Isaak to Hank Williams to Uncle Tupelo.
Wisconsin venues where Sevastopol has performed include O’Keefe’s House of Hamburg, Wells Street Tavern, Silver Creek Brewpub, Donges Bay Club, Riverwalk Bistro, Linneman’s, Conway ’s, Bavarian Inn, The Coffee House, and Borders Books and Music.
Festivals include Taste of Wisconsin, Kenosha Bloomin’ Days and the Bay View Bash. Charity and fundraising events include Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee Empty Bowls, Rays Awareness Block Melanoma Run/Walk and the Rainbow Preschool Silent Auction.
