Diamonds & Martinis

Diamonds and Martinis have recently added Tributes to JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP and THE DOORS.  Also, ask about their Premium offerings, featuring THE LEGENDARY THUNDER of LIGHTNING AND THUNDER fame, as well as the “DIAMONDS AND MARTINIS ALL STAR REVUE”, featuring Tributes to ELVIS PRESLEY and SHANIA TWAIN!

“Although only called “Diamonds and Martinis” for the past year, Eric B. Ebert and Jim Best have been doing their Neil Diamond Tribute and Vegas Revue show for almost five years.   They have entertained thousands of people at such prestigious and high-profile venues as the 2007 and 2008 Wisconsin State Fair, The Golden Mast, The Porterhouse (now called J. Roberts’ Porterhouse), the Muskego Community Festival, Winestein's in Oconomowoc and Rip Tide Seafood Bar and Grill, as well as at weddings, Corporate Events, private parties and long-term care facilities.  With a mailing list of over 500 people, their interactive, high-energy style and song selection are what keep people coming back.   Diamonds and Martinis performs to “backing tracks” – real, live vocals but no actual musicians -- and switch off vocal duties throughout the evening.  Although some may think it “just isn’t the same” without a live band, Eric and Jim are pretty confident when they say that, with their energy and vocal abilities, the lack of other musicians is barely noticed.  And because one of them is always singing while the other is “relaxing” or chatting up the clientele, they are able to provide four hours of continuous music with no breaks.        Eric has been a singer for 18 years in various alternative, Top 40, Classic Rock and original bands around Milwaukee, and was told one night while singing karaoke with a friend how much he sounded like Neil Diamond.  Thinking that a scaled-down approach to explore this “newfound talent” would be a welcome change of pace, he quickly bought a bunch of sparkly shirts… the rest, as they say, is history. Eric has been told by many that he “sounds more like Neil Diamond than Neil Diamond does” and has recently added a John (Cougar) Mellencamp Tribute to his repertoire.   Jim has also been a lead singer for more years than he can remember and was a vital part of Milwaukee’s rock scene in the 80s and 90s, performing both covers and original material.  Sick of the constant drama and little payoff of being in a band, Jim saw a unique opportunity after meeting Eric to perform some of his favorite songs that he would normally not be able to do at rock n’ roll venues.  Jim does a unique and entertaining Las Vegas-style Revue and focuses on the songs of “the crooners” of yesterday - Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett Sammy Davis Jr. and even pays homage to artists like Tom Jones, Tony Orlando, Frankie Valli, Barry Manilow and Elvis Presley.”
