Biography
Cowboy Brothers was formed in 2005 by guitarist Chris Ayer. He had been performing since the 1980's in several bands, the names of which have long since been forgotten. During the decades of shows in countless places, Chris developed a real sense of what songs he would like to do, and what songs others were missing. So in the spring of 2005 he left the band he was in and set out to form a new group. One that would be a vehicle for his diverse taste in music. This group was to have it all, great musicianship, fantastic songlist, engaging stage presence, and mostly..killer vocal harmonies! This group was also to appeal to the "baby boomers" who longed to hear the music that they grew up with, but without the smoke and noise of the regular "club scene". After a couple of auditions, Chris chose the other members and ...voila... Cowboy Brothers was born. Soon they were playing in local establishments in and around Milwaukee, WI. But, something was missing, the sound wasn't quite right. So after several years and numerous lineup changes, Chris placed "one last ad" on a local website, and things began to change. The ad was answered by guitarist Bryce Hass, also a decades long veteran of the music scene with a burning desire to be in that "special group". That was it! After one rehearsal, the duo was formed. That was the spring of 2007 and the Cowboy Brothers have been playing at clubs, festivals, private parties, and special events ever since.Chris Ayer - Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica
