Biography
The Fell Boyzs are an original band specializing in jazz, funk, fusion, rock and pop music genres. Headquartered in Southeastern Wisconsin, they are a WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award Winning act. Receiving six WAMI nominations, the Fell Boyzs went on to capture the coveted award for “Best Contemporary Jazz Group” in 2005. The group has toured nationally several times and now in 2010, they are beginning to receive some international recognition through a recent flurry of airplay of their songs on several European Jazz radio stations.
The group plays mostly original compositions written by Fell Boyzs members. But, more recently they have added a number of popular, well-known pop cover songs that are played with a complete Fell Boyzs treatment/styling. The Fell Boyzs have produced three CD/album recordings of original material including “Concrete Dog Bicycle”, an EP entitled “Five and a Bit” and a yet to be released untitled CD completed in 2009.
The Personnel:
The Fell Boyzs is a band that started out consisting solely of family members all with the last name “Fell.” A father, two sons and a brother were the makeup of this band for many years. Now, with the addition of a new member (though he has been a long time Fell family friend), it was only fitting that he be dubbed as an “honorary Fell! ” The Fell Boyzs band members include:
• Tommy Fell - Drummer, Percussionist and Vocalist
• Billy Fell - Lead Guitarist and Vocalist
• Zach Fell - Saxophones and other Woodwinds
• Kyle Fell - Bassist and Vocalist
• Chris “Jumbo” Inloes - Guitarist, Vocalist (and...“Honorary Fell Family Member”)
